Critical Infrastructure & Facilities Management

TransGlobal’s approach to Critical Infrastructure protection and facilities management includes assessments of vulnerabilities, plans to eradicate vulnerabilities, implementing systems for identifying and preventing attacks, and developing an emergency management plan in case of an attack. As the threat level of terrorist attacks has increased not only on our homeland but all around the world, we are committed to fighting terrorism and protecting critical infrastructure.

TransGlobal has been providing National Harbor’s Department of Public Safety with critical infrastructure support and facilities management for the entire complex over the past 5 year. They utilize our Shared Intelligence Solution (SIS) to assist in day to day activities; to provide real-time situational awareness; operation planning and monitoring; and resource management.

Event Management & Security

TransGlobal provides Event Management & Security services including event and conference planning. We have a long list of past performances for event and conference planning with Certified Meeting Planners (CMPs) on staff.

We have provided event security for some of the most prestigious events in the United States such as the 2009 Presidential Inauguration which brought over 2.1 million tourists to the Nation’s Capital.

Emergency Preparedness & Response

The key to emergency preparedness and response is for governments, at all levels, to work effectively and efficiently together as to prepare for, prevent, response to, and recover from domestic incidents, regardless of cause, size or complexity. TransGlobal recently received an award from Prince George’s County for our emergency deployment of StarLight during the flooding from Hurricane Irene.  StarLight provided a common operating platform for collaboration and awareness between and among both Prince George’s and Washington area public safety agencies.

CAD Interoperability

TransGlobal’s CrimePROBE SAMS solution offers real-time situational awareness and interoperability with surrounding agencies. Jurisdictions can achieve effective information sharing by integrating computer-aided dispatch (CAD), existing records management data, geographic information system-based data, satellite imagery, video footage, and photographic images via a centralized data storage and retrieval system thus providing a common-operating platform. This solution was utilized by Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department during the historic 2009 Presidential Inauguration.

Suspicious Activity Reporting

Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) is the reporting of suspicious behaviors that have been connected to terrorist activities in the past and may be predictive of future threats to public safety. Observed behaviors might include activities such as surveillance or photography of critical infrastructure, or monitoring of facility security processes. Even though these behaviors may not be illegal, they could be potential indicators of suspect activity that should be recorded and investigated by law enforcement agencies charged with this mission.

What is Viisage biometrics providing?

Viisage is providing an easy way to manage bookings and manage individuals’ records. Immediately after an individual enters the jail, his or her photograph is taken. The image is used to establish the arrestee’s physical condition upon arrival at the jail and is saved in the individual’s record for future investigations.

The picture and basic demographic information captured in the pre-booking stage is used to select the correct individual to be booked. Here the Booking software allows deputies to quickly and easily record an abundance of additional information, such as scars, marks and tattoos, additional portrait (with or without glasses) profile images and a signature (if desired). The image can then be use to conduct a preliminary face recognition search to access the arrestee’s history or confirm identity. When the record is complete, a standard movement sheet and an inmate identification card is printed.

Once again Face Recognition is employed for verification of an individual’s identity. A photograph taken at the time of release is compared against the formal booking image. The result is a side-by-side comparison of the two photos along with a rating based on the face recognition result, ensuring the release of the right inmate.

What is DocView?

Docview is the most trusted product for crash reports in the United States. Citizens and insurance carriers in the US are able to purchase detailed crash reports instantly via our web-based application. Over 700 law enforcement agencies and over 1,000 insurance carriers trust Docview with the protection of their data integrity.


Where is DocView deployed?

Docview is currently deployed in 35 states in the U.S. and includes more than 1,000 local law enforcement agencies.

What is DocView providing?

Docview offers the opportunity to receive accident reports instantly instead of having to wait weeks or months to receive these reports in the mail. As soon as the agency’s supervisor approves the electronic report, it is available for download. Insurance companies, lawyers and private citizens can purchase these reports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The law enforcement agencies, courts, and road commission agencies have free access to our reports and provide us with the accident information.

  • Flexible searching tools which allow easy location of crash reports using only a web browser.
  • Docview can be implemented without incurring any hardware or software costs. Minimal implementation time (20 minutes usually) including training. Docview provides full support to your staff, citizens and the insurance industry at zero cost.
  • Crash reports are clear, high-resolution images for optimal viewing and printing. Reports are stored in a PDF format making them secure, easy to view, save, print and email.
  • Docview can seamlessly accept copies of e-crash reports compile them into a digital image and make it immediately ready for sale.
  • We index the Drivers and Passenger’s Names, VINs, License Plate, Report Number(s), Injury Code, Date of Crash, Location of Crash. Your records staff do not need waste valuable time indexing these.
  • The Docview software already has the capability to redact information from crash reports at any level based upon business needs. Docview currently services multiple levels of clients with reports from public safety agencies and sells those reports, depending upon the client, with various levels of redaction. We will assist agencies in implementing the redaction at time of installation if needed. Once the reports are in the Docview system they can be hidden from view from all entities allowing to comply with sealing orders.

Unique Capabilities

  • Failed Login Attempts: Docview diligently monitors login attempts and acts swiftly when consecutive login attempt failures occur. This may be a user who forgot their password, but it could also be a hacker trying to break in. When this occurs, Docview shuts down login ability to the user and our security personnel are notified.
  • IP Address Monitoring With Full User Activity Logging: All activity within the Docview system is tracked by the originating IP address. This IP address information can be used to not only disable user access but also track user activity within the Docview system.
  • Firewalling Technology: All Docview servers are placed behind powerful firewall technology configured to provide minimum access and maximum protection. In addition, powerful port scanning tools are in place to make sure that these measures are always operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Physical Security: Physical security is also a priority. Being housed at leading colocation facilities, Docview servers are under constant supervision. 24 hour video surveillance, biometric hand scanners, secured equipment cabinets, climate control, fire suppression, and diesel generator backup systems mean that Docview servers are not only secure, but will remain in operation even in the worst conditions.
  • Total Accountability: The Docview system has a QC process in place called Total Accountability (TA) which monitors every report from the moment it is transferred until it is delivered to the live published website for purchase.
  • IP Scoping: Docview has the unique ability for the user to be restricted to logging into the crash report website from a specific IP address. This empowers PD’s to prevent users from accessing reports from anywhere other than the agency network connection, thereby preventing a user from pulling up accidents reports for friends and family from home.
  • Activity Reporting: PD’s have the capability to view online the reports that have been viewed by paying entities; insurance companies and citizens. When designated administrative users log in, they can view the activity log that shows the report numbers that are viewed as well as the name of the user viewing the report. The Docview system is built on a full DMS (Document Management System) which has comprehensive logging features that log every transaction of each user. Login date/times, logoff date/times, password changes, reports viewed, credit card approved/failed, login failure, IP address of users, etc. are some of the log codes that are maintained.
  • Imaging Integration: Docview can be fully integrated with any non-proprietary imaging system at no cost. Docview does not require any additional work by PD personnel to send crash reports to the Docview web server.
  • 24 Hour Turn Around Time: Crash reports are ready to view and purchase from the Docview site within 24 hours of being scanned or sent. This process usually takes only minutes from time of receipt as a general rule.
  • Color Duplex Scanner: Docview will provide all needed equipment including high quality duplex, color scanners capable of a minimum of 25ppm and with automatic document feeders (ADF) at no-cost to PD’s (based upon number of reports) including maintenance.
  • 128-bit Encryption: Docview uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) at 256-bit encryption for all transactions associated with reports within the system.
  • Docview Security: One of our highest priorities is making sure reports are kept safe at all times. All employees undergo a strict background check. The main principles of the company have worked in government and held high clearance levels.
  • Advanced Logging: Our advanced logging system monitors and records every action taken within Docview. This system not only ensures that PD’s are paid for every report viewed, it also helps make sure that Docview’s security perimeter is never breached. In addition to denying access to unauthorized visitors, Docview security personnel are notified of any questionable activity.
  • Excessive Viewing: Docview monitors each user and notifies our security personnel when a user views a large number of reports within a 24 hour period of time. This allows us to quickly assess the user’s intentions and shut down their account if necessary.
  • Session Timeouts: Docview sessions expire after a period of inactivity. This ensures that user sessions are not left idle for an unauthorized person to begin using.
  • Strict Password Rules:Strict password conventions are exercised, preventing users from choosing common or easy words to figure out.
