  • StarLight® has been utilized in response to a number of high-profile events within the National Capital Region.

  • StarLight® facilitated the Washington Metropolitan Police Department’s (MPD) response and preparation for protests and demonstrations during World Bank meetings.

  • StarLight® facilitates the planning of tours of duty and manpower deployment, while allowing real-time situational awareness and a common operating picture, between MPD’s Joint Operations Command Center and the officers in the field through its field reporting functionality. 

  • The system graphically depicted the locations and facilities of high-profile dignitaries and their assigned special operations division representatives. 

  • StarLight® was used as the MPD event planner and was found to save money and time.

  • The “plan of action” (personnel allocation, critical infra- structure, critical elements) module has since been used for every special event in Washington, DC since 2009 and by The District Commanders, Investigators, and Patrol Officers in PGPD during CompStat.
